OUR STORY

Where It All Began

Porton’s Meat Processing, formerly known as M. Porton, was established on October 7, 2001, in Brgy. Hasa-Hasa St., Malabon City. Initially, operations were modest, and challenges were numerous. In October 2018, the business relocated to Brgy. Isla, Valenzuela City, and continued operations after securing the necessary permits. The journey to success was not without obstacles, but with hard work and determination, the company flourished.

The venture was founded by Marilyn Porton and her husband. Marilyn, previously an accounting clerk at Guess Jeans’ General Accounting Office in San Pedro, Laguna, brought her financial expertise to the business. Her husband, having honed his skills in meat processing while working for his uncle, took the lead in production. After their marriage in June 2001, the couple pooled their efforts to build a sustainable business.

Initially, deliveries were done using a bicycle, with a weekly production of only 50 to 100 kilograms. Despite financial challenges and unreliable customers, the couple persevered. In 2010, Marilyn resigned from her office job to focus entirely on growing the business. Together, they expanded their reach to various markets, steadily building a loyal customer base. By 2024, Porton’s Meat Processing has grown into a well-recognized brand, known for its quality products and commitment to customer satisfaction.
